Members of the faculty and administration at the Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University, are committed to working with fellow educators who address teaching and learning issues in the PreK-12 schools in New Jersey.  To this end, the GSE ardently and enthusiastically supports the work of the Rutgers Institute for Improving Student Achievement (RIISA).

Originally established by President Richard McCormick in 2005, Dr. William Librera, former N.J. State Commissioner of Education, was the first Executive Director of RIISA.

The mission of Rutgers Institute for Improving Student Achievement is to provide professional development and executive level training for continuous improvement in the achievement of all students through the combined efforts of Rutgers University, PreK-12 districts, corporate affiliates, other professional organizations and community partners.  RIISA is pleased to welcome partners in this important work.
